Uttar Pradesh: 75-Year-Old Man Marries 35-Year-Old Woman, Dies the Next Day

Jaunpur (October 1, 2025): In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district, a 75-year-old man passed away just a day after marrying a 35-year-old woman. The man, identified as Singaruram, was a resident of Kuchhmuch village and had been living alone since the death of his first wife a year ago.

According to Indian media reports, Singaruram had no children from his first marriage and made a living through farming. Despite relatives advising him against remarrying, he remained determined and on September 29 tied the knot with Manbhawati, a 35-year-old resident of Jalalpur.

The couple registered their marriage in court and later performed traditional rituals at a local temple. Speaking after the wedding, Manbhawati said her husband had assured her that he would take full responsibility for the household and care for the children.

However, tragedy struck the very next day when Singaruram’s health suddenly deteriorated. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Relatives carried out his last rites, but the unusual circumstances of his death have sparked questions in the village about whether a police investigation or post-mortem should be conducted.
