Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Inaugurates Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center in Murree

Murree: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center in Murree and announced several development projects for the region, including the launch of the city’s first clean water scheme.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister announced that cardiac surgery and bypass facilities will now be available at the new cardiology center. She further pledged to upgrade the historic Mall Road of Murree with a development package worth billions of rupees.

Maryam Nawaz revealed plans to establish wildlife parks, Bansra Gali Park, PIA Park, Krishi Park, and a biodiversity park. She also announced that a glass train/ART service will soon be launched between Rawalpindi and Murree to promote tourism and connectivity.

Highlighting healthcare initiatives, the CM confirmed that a 100-bed hospital will be built in Kotli Sattian along with other tourism and infrastructure projects. Shuttle bus services will be introduced between Sambili Hospital and the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center, while an electric bus project for Murree is also in the pipeline.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that politics is about serving the people, not personal gain. She said Murree holds a special place in her heart, as she spent her childhood there. “The people of Murree love Nawaz Sharif, and Nawaz Sharif has always loved the people of Murree,” she remarked.

She noted that for the first time since the 1930s, the Sambili Hospital was upgraded under her leadership. The CM proudly shared that the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center has already successfully treated five patients on its opening day.

Maryam Nawaz also pointed out that the Punjab government has not only built new roads but also established Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics, transforming basic health units into functional facilities closer to the people.

She added that the newly formed Tourism Force is promoting tourism, and in the coming years, Murree will attract millions of visitors. She recalled that it was Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who had earlier built major roads and the Murree Expressway.

Maryam Nawaz concluded by updating on health projects across Punjab, saying that rapid progress is being made on the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital in Lahore, and a cardiology center has been established in Sahiwal Division where none existed before. She assured that the Punjab government is committed to building specialized hospitals for all major diseases across the province.
