KIU Students Highlight Sustainable Energy Solutions at “EnergyWise 2025

Gilgit : Students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Karakoram International University (KIU), participated in the “EnergyWise 2025” program by setting up an innovative stall that focused on clean and eco-friendly energy access.

The exhibition aimed to raise awareness about sustainable energy solutions and their importance in addressing power shortages in remote regions like Gilgit-Baltistan.

Promoting Sustainable Development and Innovation

During the event, students presented several projects related to renewable energy and efficient infrastructure. Their initiatives focused on utilizing green technology and improving energy efficiency, which can play a vital role in overcoming the region’s energy challenges.

The projects included models and prototypes demonstrating solar-powered systems, smart energy grids, and cost-effective power management solutions designed to help local communities gain reliable access to electricity.

Empowering Youth for a Greener Future

Faculty members appreciated the students’ dedication toward innovation and sustainability, emphasizing that such projects reflect the university’s vision of preparing the next generation of engineers to develop environmentally responsible technologies.
