Rawalpindi (29 September 2025): DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that while the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have the democratic right to protest, creating chaos harms the economy and public welfare.
Speaking to students of various universities in AJK, the DG ISPR emphasized that the political system in the region is functional, and that development indicators such as education, health, and infrastructure are steadily improving.
He stressed that if the state does not collect taxes, it cannot provide salaries and facilities, especially when over 30% of the population is employed in the government sector.
