Chaman, Balochistan – At least five people were killed and three others injured in an explosion at a border taxi stand in Chaman on Wednesday, local officials confirmed.

According to Assistant Commissioner Chaman, the blast occurred at the busy border taxi stand, a location frequently used by travelers moving between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Authorities stated that the explosive device was hidden inside passengers’ luggage.

The deceased and injured were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chaman for treatment. Security forces cordoned off the area shortly after the explosion, while investigators began collecting evidence from the site.
