Gilgit (Staff Reporter) — Under the supervision of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, the Aghosh Alkhidmat Gilgit-Baltistan project was officially inaugurated in Gilgit through a graceful ceremony attended by prominent social figures, government officials, religious scholars, and media representatives.
The ceremony was graced by Deputy General Secretary of AJK & Gilgit-Baltistan Maulana Abdul Sami, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Gilgit-Baltistan and Chairman of the Supervisory Council Maulana Tanveer Haidari, Director General Rescue 1122 Gilgit-Baltistan Azeemullah, Additional Secretary Social Welfare Arif Tahseen, and President Alkhidmat Gilgit-Baltistan Fareedullah Khan, along with several other dignitaries and social personalities.
In his speech, Maulana Tanveer Haidari said that Aghosh Alkhidmat is a home of love and care for orphaned and vulnerable children. He stated that the launch of this project in Gilgit-Baltistan marks a new beginning of hope for needy children in the region.
He further added that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is expanding its Aghosh Homes network across the country to provide quality education, safe housing, and moral upbringing — ensuring that every orphan grows up to become a dignified and empowered citizen.
Additional Secretary Social Welfare Arif Tahseen appreciated the efforts of Alkhidmat Foundation, saying that the organization is not only taking care of orphans and needy children but is also working alongside the government in several social welfare sectors.
He added, “We highly appreciate Alkhidmat’s volunteers who serve humanity tirelessly. The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan will continue to extend full support to such welfare initiatives.”
DG Rescue 1122 Gilgit-Baltistan Azeemullah expressed his admiration for the initiative, saying, “The children under the care of Aghosh Alkhidmat are our future leaders. These are the young souls who will one day lead Gilgit-Baltistan with dignity and vision.”
He further praised Alkhidmat Foundation’s commitment to serving humanity beyond differences of race, color, or background-calling it a true example of compassion and inclusion.
President Alkhidmat Gilgit-Baltistan Fareedullah Khan said that Aghosh Alkhidmat Gilgit-Baltistan represents a historic milestone for the region. The facility not only provides safe housing but also ensures quality education, moral training, and character building for the children.
He thanked all guests and dignitaries for attending the event and making it a memorable occasion.
At the end of the ceremony, guests were given a guided tour of different sections of the facility. They reviewed the arrangements for accommodation, education, and training of the children.
Participants appreciated the social and humanitarian services of Alkhidmat Foundation and regarded the establishment of Aghosh Alkhidmat Gilgit-Baltistan as a positive and hopeful step for the entire region.
