Ishaq Dar: Confident Hamas Will Not Reject Palestine Peace Agreement

Islamabad (29 September 2025): Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed confidence that Hamas will not reject the Palestine peace agreement, stressing that the ongoing negotiations point towards acceptance of the plan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Dar said that talks with Hamas have been progressing and there is no indication that the group would oppose the deal. He highlighted that Palestinian authorities have welcomed the 21-point plan, which aims to ensure peace, security, and long-term stability in the region.

Dar emphasized that Pakistan has always supported the two-state solution, adding that eight countries have already committed to the peace framework. According to him, while some political groups are opposing the plan for their own interests, the Palestinian people themselves are ready to accept it.

The Deputy Prime Minister further revealed that the agreement is the outcome of extensive efforts and multiple consultation rounds. The plan includes the formation of a technocrat government in Palestine to ensure smooth governance.

He also disclosed that Indonesia has offered 20,000 troops for a peacekeeping force, while Pakistan will soon decide on its own contribution. He clarified that under the peace deal, the West Bank will not be included in Israel, ensuring Palestinian sovereignty.

Dar added that the United States was brought into the agreement to guarantee its implementation and to ensure that all stakeholders honor their commitments.

“This peace plan is a collective effort for stability. Pakistan’s stance on Palestine is crystal clear—we fully support an independent Palestinian state,” Dar concluded.
